Quantum Gas Microscope of Ytterbium Atoms — Direct Observation of single atoms in an optical lattice
Our laboratory study various systems such as SU(N) Fermi-Hubbard model, Boson-Fermion mixture and two-orbital system utilizing the properties of ytterbium atoms.
We plan to study these systems from microscopic aspects by site-resolved observation of ytterbium atoms in an optical lattice. Especially, we aim to measure long-range spin correlation in the SU(N) Fermi-Hubbard systems and to explore unique quantum phases, which will be enabled by quantum gas microscopy of ytterbium atoms.
